Summer Camp Counselor

The shift is M-F 9am-3pm.
NO WEEKENDS Pay is $3,800 for the the 8 weeks which is equivalent to almost $16.

Camp begins on June 26th.
Job Title:
Counselor Specific Tasks:
? Meet individual needs of each assigned camper.
? Must oversee and support assigned campers in all aspects of the camp day.
? Work with campers and other staff members to accomplish goals of camp.
? Active participation and engagement in activities with campers at all times and assist specialists as needed.
? Attendance at all staff meetings, unit meetings/trainings and camp orientation is required.
? All staff are required to swim daily.
? Assist with daily set up and break down.
? Communicate with supervisory staff about issues in regards to campers or other staff.
? Other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or Camp Administration.
General Responsibilities ? Ensure the safety and well-being of each camper, both physically and emotionally.
No camper should ever be made to feel badly, unimportant or ridiculed by anyone at camp.
? Staff should be positive role models to campers.
Conversations must be appropriate for campers and appropriate language should be used at all times.
Physical appearance should be neat and professional.
? Attend all mandatory pre-camp orientation meetings.
Failure to attend meetings may result in termination.
? All staff is required to wear staff shirts, sneakers, and appropriate swimwear must be worn at all swim periods.
? Any staff member suspected to be under the influence or found to be using drugs, alcohol or smoking during camp hours will be dismissed immediately.
? Cell phones are not permitted to be used for recreational use on camp property during camp hours.
? Staff are not permitted to have visitors during the camp day Job Types:
